The 5th International Furniture Congress will be held in Eskişehir between the dates of November, 1-4, 2018 with the main theme of "Innovative and Future Approaches" hosted by Anadolu University Faculty of Architecture and Design.
In the 5th International Furniture Congress which will be organized as the continuation of the first National Furniture Congresses series held by Hacettepe University, Department of Wood Product Industrial Engineering, in 1997, it is aimed to share the knowledge and experiences of the academicians and the professionals working on the furniture industry in national and international arena with their scientific studies and to share the interdisciplinary studies in the field of furniture.
While the furniture sector in Turkey and in the world is always one of the priority areas of the world economies; on the other hand the furniture sector is in common area of business, marketing, engineering and design disciplines.
Recently, in the Turkish furniture industry, with atelier type small-scale enterprises working with traditional methods, the number of medium and large-scale ones has started to increase rapidly. Design has become an important tool for the competition in the furniture sector, where technology-based developments with new materials and production methods are rapidly spreading.
In the 5th International Furniture Congress that will be organised in Eskişehir on November, 1-4, 2018, it is aimed that, the current situation of the furniture industry in terms of technology and design will be assessed and the sector representatives will be brought together with scientists working in this field under the heading of "Innovative and Future Approaches".
This meeting, which is planned to be held on November, 1-4, 2018 hosted by Eskişehir Technical University Architecture and Design Faculty and Anadolu University, Faculty of Architecture and Design, will serve new contributions to the furniture sector in the academic field. For this purpose, we invite you to share your papers, posters and workshops.
